What to wear when going skiing

– The essential element to go skiing is layers. It has to be water resistant.

– Secondly warm sweaters. They must not hinder your movements.

– Swim suits made from warm materials are very suitable: choose them with a temperature regulator to prevent cold. Good to know: we avoid cotton because it is a material that doesn’t breathe.

– Beneath the pants; think also of leggings that can preserve the heat and keep your legs warm for the whole day.

– To protect your feet from the cold do not hesitate to wear warm socks.

– Think of water resistant gloves to protect your hands. You can choose mittens for the little ones.

– Ski goggles are no luxury: they are meant to protect your eyes against sun rays (much more damaging on high altitudes) and against the wind.

– It is necessary to smear sun block and lip balm. It is important to know that most resorts have pharmacies and medical centers.  Only take the minimum with you to treat small injuries: paracetamol, something for the cold, bandages and disinfection.

What to wear when going out after skiing? It is good to wear warm clothes when going shopping, going to a restaurant or going to watch a show but not the same outfit as on the tracks. So what to pack? Here are 10 tips:

– Sport wear to sport or to be more comfortable when you’re not on the slopes.

– Warm socks so your feet don’t get cold.

– Warm pajamas to have sweet nights.

– Hydrating lotion to take care of your skin that can dry out quickly in the cold and sun.
