1. Les Menuires

Chosen as the “Best Family Resort” in 2015 (awarded the World Snow Awards), Les Menuires welcomes kids and families and gives them the opportunity to spend a great holiday. This is reflected in the ski area because there are fun routes specially dedicated to them. There are two beginner spaces available to move safely and 5 chair lifts with a safety system at the railing to guarantee the kids a safe usage. All peaks are accessible so everyone can enjoy the whole ski area. And if skiing is not enough there are many activities for children: a castle slide, Walibi Gliss, Roc’n Bob, Speed Mountain and water activities in the resort’s waterpark.

2. Orcières Merlette 1850

Orcières is historically seen as the first resort with snow gardens (1967) and then introduced the “Cartable à la Neige” (1970). That is why it is seen as a pioneer in the area of children. The resort offers first and foremost accommodation (village clubs, hotels, tourist residences…) offers that are especially suitable for families. 4. Les Gets

Les Gets is a car-free resort with accommodation designed for families. It offers children from 6 months to 12 years various daycares: Les Fripouilles (6 months to 4 years) and P’tits Montagnys. They can get ski lessons guided by instructors who offer a fun learning process to let them discover skiing in a safe environment and with special modified material (snow, images…).

5. Val Thorens

Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, is also an expert in welcoming kids and families. At a young age children are welcomed in daycares and snow gardens. Days with instructors are organized so everyone can discover the joys of skiing, starting on the junior ski area and exploring nature to discover the mountain animals. In the ski area there are playgrounds like the snow park which is accessible for everyone, the Fun Slope (900 m track full obstacles: snow tunnels, bridges, spirals, turns), toboggan run “Toboggan” (the longest in France with 6 km for a descent of 45 minutes).

6. Morillon

With plenty of choice of activities and entertainment to meet all the expectations of the family is Morillon presented as a resort that is concerned with the shelter of kids. Indeed, the youngest ones are welcomed in the Piou-Piou club, daycare with ski lessons and in the snow garden.

7. Les 2 Alpes

8. Le Grand Bornard

Life is easy in this resort if you bring your family, thanks to the specially designed accommodation. In Le Grand Bornand traffic is made easier thanks to little slopes for prams, walking routes and pedestrian areas (including a playground and a fitness parkour). ESF gardens are present in the resort to teach the pleasures of skiing. There are also 3 secured tracks made for sleighing. There are also animations for families available.

9. Aussois

Aussois makes it its honor to make daycare a priority. The resort has a integrated part for children, a snow school of the ESF (more than 4 000m²), toboggan (2 identified and secured tracks) and 2 ski lifts (beginners). The daycare welcomes children from 3 months to 12 years old. The resort has a Piou-Piou club and ski schools to allow children to learn skiing in a fun and friendly way.

10. Les Houches

In Les Houches, little skiers from 2 years can enjoy the snow with games offered by ESF club ‘Pitchoune’. The goal is to make the little ones aware of the snow environment by tobogganing, snow shoeing or ice skating. Older children (3 to 5 years) profit from the Piou-Piou club in a special garden, safe and very well equipped. To have family share moments there are routes available for prams and baby carriers. They are easily accessible and ideal to let toddlers walk around safely.
