Before you go skiing
Take every time a short moment to warm up your muscles so your physical condition is well prepared to go skiing.
Skiing requires a lot of energy so it is necessary to eat and drink well. A big glass of fruit juice, a big bowl of cornflakes, and a piece of fruit at breakfast is a good start of the day when you go skiing.
On the mountains you have to protect yourself just like at the beach. Wear sunglasses or ski goggles to not get blinded by the snow. Also use sun block to protect yourself against the sun rays.
In the resort
To prevent injuries you have to make sure your bindings are bound well. You are not alone on the slope so this is also a measure to not hurt others.
Think of hydration! We recommend you drink water before going skiing to prevent cramps. Drink about 0,5 liter before you start skiing.
On the slopes
Warm up your body again and don’t push yourself to exhaust your body. This would also take the fun out of it. Some basic rules for on the slopes: ski on the slope of your level, you are almost never alone on the slope so stay in control of your speed and direction. The second rule of thumb is that the skier who is lower than you has the right of way.
Protect yourself: always wear a helmet. If you want to be safer you can wear back knee and wrist protectors.
