Simple goggles
Goggles with elastic straps and Velcro tightening are essential for sports. They offer a comfortable fit and interchangeable screens in various colors for different light conditions.
Double screen goggles
These goggles avoid fogging when you ski. There is nothing worse than when your vision gets worse when you are in action on the slope. You would have to stop and clean the interior of the goggles. With the double screen the isolating air pocket you find between the screens allows to isolate the goggles against humidity.
Goggles with changeable screens
These goggles allow you to change screens quickly according to clarity. You will have the basic and many colored screens in a special protected bag.
The screens
Gray and brown screens are suitable for protecting your eyes from bright sunlight on clear days. They function like regular sunglasses but with added glacier protection, making them ideal for snowy conditions. For low visibility, opt for orange, yellow, or pink screens that enhance contrast and help distinguish terrain features in the snow. A yellow screen is particularly effective in misty conditions. Alternatively, photochromic goggles are designed to adapt to changing light conditions without the need to switch screens manually. However, they may have limited effectiveness in extremely bright conditions. Choose the appropriate screen color or consider photochromic goggles to ensure optimal vision during your sport activities.
People who wear glasses
In order to avoid layering, you could buy your ski goggles at your optician or online with your correction. It is perfect to sport in all freedom! There are also special goggles designed to hold and protect your glasses. The goggles must not be too tight because your glasses could injure you.
Integrated goggles
Helmets with integrated visors offer head protection and improved visibility. The visors are changeable for different sports and conditions.
Goggle size
Like for ski clothes, it is essential to choose your goggles well according to your body. There are 5 goggle sizes:
– XS for children
– S/M for big children and women
– M for medium faces
– L for large faces
– XL for very large faces
It is important that your goggles are perfectly adapted to your face and that the foam applies to your face. It should not be very tight nor loose. The strap helps to adjust the goggles but not to win or lose a size.
