Sprain

Knee sprains are at the top of the list with the most occurred ski accidents. More than 14.000 skiers of whom most are beginners, women, and children suffer from a fracture in the anterior cruciate ligament, the most serious form of a sprain. This type of accident occurs due to a foul movement during the stop, a fall, or badly putting on the equipment.

 

Fracture

Fractures that reach the lower limbs is also an often occurred accident that can happen to skiers from all levels due to falling.

 

Bruise

Bruising is also one of the most known accidents during ski season. This type of accident is usually because of a lack of physical preparation and especially a lack of warming-up or a serious fall on the ground.

 

Twist

Twisting your muscles is due to a sudden shock of an astringed muscle or a persistent contraction of the muscle. The leg muscles are the most sensitive ones for this kind of injury.

Dislocation

Occurs to all the joints; it usually occurs because of a serious fall and can happen to all body parts (ankles, hip, wrists, shoulder) after a fall or a heavy shock during a descent.
