This unique resort has become a Mecca for skiers and snowboarders alike. Valley Blanche has become a rite of passage for adrenaline-seekers who have the courage and are expert enough to descend the legendary 20km off-piste run. However beginners and intermediates need not shy away, there is plenty of opportunity and versatile pistes for all paces and levels.
Helped in part by its beautiful and dramatic natural surroundings, the large town has managed to hold on to its distinctive mountain charm. The pedestrianised centre hub with its old buildings of Victorian influence, is a pleasant place for an afternoon spent pottering and browsing the many shops. Chamonix has all the après ski amenities you could need with its cafes, restaurants and rather boisterous nightlife of bars and clubs.
Diverse events are on-going throughout the year. The Christmas Village (16th-30th December 2017) offers handicrafts, food and drink all served with a little festive spirit. For music fans Chamonix also hosts large events including the electro festival Chamonix Unlimited Festival (4th – 8th April 2018) and the pop-rock Festival Musilac Mont-Blanc (19th – 21st April 2018).
For those who are in search of versatility, adrenaline and adventure, Chamonix is your destination!
