1. The descent
When the skier starts descending the slopes he has to respect other skiers. He has to behave in such a way he does not hurt anyone.
2. Speed
Going fast is exciting. Yet everyone has to adjust his speed to his capabilities. There is no need to fly at full speed if you cannot anticipate an obstacle and avoid it. In addition you have to go slowly in crowded areas like the start and finish of a ski slope.
3. The route
You have to be able to control your route at all times. The skier is master of his skis and his skis aren’t the ones who have to lead him. If this is not the case it is important to understand this before descending. Do not forget to keep a safe distance between you and the skier in front of you.
4. Respect
It is always the higher skier who is responsible for others. His route and speed must be adjusted to the lower skiers. It is also important to anticipate the movements of the lower ones, especially children who have more random movements.
5. Exceedance
It is important to make sure there is enough distance between the skier exceeded and the one exceeding.
6. Judgments
If you have to stop make sure you do this at the edge of the slope, never in the middle and not at the start of a turn.
7. Crossing
When you arrive at a crossing make sure you do not hit a skier who is descending from another lane. Before you arrive you have to make sure to not hit any of the skiers.
8. Falling
If you fall make sure you can stand up immediately or make sure to push yourself to the side as quickly as possible. By staying in the middle you risk getting hurt by another skier or you hurt another skier.
9. Walking
If you have to walk up or down a slope take the outer side and stay alert. Keep in mind that footprints are deeper than ski prints and can cause holes on the slope which is dangerous for skiers.
10. Respect for signs
There are signs that tell you if you have to stop or have to go to another slope or if the parkour has been removed. In any case, try not to act as if the sign does not exist. You have to follow the signs in any case. At one side of the slope it is marked green, blue, red, or black. This is the difficulty. Do not go on a slope that is not meant for you.
